She passed away peacefully at home on May 3, 2013. Doris helped Conservation Northwest, protecting wildlife and wild lands, every Friday for twelve years, and we were lucky to have her generous volunteer time and lovely presence each week. Her volunteer efforts extended far and wide including her passion for peace and justice issues. She was an integral part of our team and we will miss her dearly, as so many in our community will. We're happy when we remember her kind smile, gentle energy, and dedication to making the world a better place, which she most certainly did. She kept very active and lived a full and rich life. It is reassuring to know that to the last, she was surrounded by friends, family, and the overwhelming love we all feel toward her. —Julia Spencer, development associate Our blog conservationnw.org/scat facebook.com/conservationnw @conservationnw.org youtube.com/conservationnw flickr.com/conservationnw Varied thrush © Paul Bannick
