Who we are
Keep it wild! Visit www.ecosystem.org
Northwest Ecosystem Alliance protects
endangered species by protecting
the places where they live.
We believe it is our responsibility to leave
the next generation a living legacy.
By conserving wildlife habitat, we provide
clean water and air for the Pacific
Northwest and ensure there is a safety net
to prevent extinction.
Since 1988, Northwest Ecosystem Alliance (NWEA)
has worked to protect the Northwest's wildlands and wildlife.
Our strength lies in mobilizing people to demonstrate support
for science-based solutions, working to protect threatened
species such as the lynx and salmon.
At the forefront of regional conservation issues, NWEA
seeks new solutions to old problems. In 1999 we led the
successful campaign to protect 25,000 acres in the Loomis
State Forest, the best lynx habitat in the lower 48. Raising
nearly $17 million in little more than a year for this effort
inspired new momentum for conservation in the Northwest.
Dynamic programs and coalition efforts
We are proud to be leaders in coalition efforts such as
The Cascades Conservation Partnership and the Ancient Forest
Roadshow, along with our ongoing dynamic program work:
Safeguarding our national forests and Pacific Northwest
mature and old-growth forests
Reforming management of Washington state trust lands
Protecting Canadian wildlands and transborder wildlife
Reconnecting Washington's North and South Cascades
through wildlife habitat preservation
Please support the work we do, and join NWEA today
You can also give gifts of membership, t-shirts, art, or books to friends and
