Places Connecting 25th anniversary In 1999, Conservation Northwest raises $18 million and permanently protects 25,000 acres of Loomis State Forest for Canada lynx. > < The Acci timber sale is one of many sales averted and the old growth saved by Conservation Northwest on the Gifford Pinchot. 2002 The Cascades Conservation Partnership raises more than $78 million and protects 45,000 acres of forest, rivers, and trails linking habitat in the I-90 corridor. 2004 > < Northwest Ecosystem Alliance becomes Conservation Northwest and with the Kettle Range Conservation Group launches the Columbia Highlands Initiative for northeast Washington. 2005 The I-90 Wildlife Bridges Coalition has helped ensure that construction will begin on Washington's first wildlife bridge in 2015, connecting Cascades habitat (WSDOT graphic artist's vision). > Keeping the Northwest wild Spring-summer 2014 17
