Habitat Restoration with Gravity Payments
A huge thank you to the Gravity Payments team who volunteered with us over the weekend! We had a great group join us on Snoqualmie Pass to help pull invasive weeds and re-vegetate near Gold Creek.
Through our I-90 Wildlife Corridor Campaign, we engage volunteers to create inviting wildlife habitat in the Gold Creek area by Keechelus Lake, which is near two wildlife underpasses that provide safe passage for animals moving north-south across the interstate. By weeding, mulching, and planting native vegetation, our volunteer groups help improve habitat for fish and wildlife near the crossings, encouraging them to pass safely under I-90.
Conservation Northwest administers the I-90 Wildlife Bridges Coalition, which is working to address the 6-lane barrier of Interstate 90 by integrating wildlife crossing structures that provide safer passage over and under the roadway as part of the I-90 Snoqualmie Pass East Project.
