Together they make a strong team. Kim Adank fell in love with conservation through internships in the Smoky Mountains and Colorado. After moving West from Indiana to pursue her masters in environmental education, she discovered a passion for fundraising. Kim manages our Hope for a Wild Future auction and other fundraising efforts. Outside the office, you can find her hiking, playing with her two Labradors, hanging out with her fiancé, or pursuing her foodie dreams. Chris Marx heads up our Seattle office and oversees all things fundraising. A lifelong Northwesterner, she's honed her craft at such organizations as Grist, the University of Washington, and Rosehedge AIDS Housing. Outside the office, Chris is likely to be found horseback riding, eating tacos, or in a hammock reading zombie novels. (We'll forgive her that last bit.) "What excites me about Conservation Northwest is the opportunity to protect wildlife and wild places close to home," said Chris. "It's inspiring to know that I'll be able to look back someday at the habitat connected for wildlife and say, 'I was a part of that!' I can't think of more meaningful work." "There are so many opportunities to fight the good fight!" agreed Kim. "I admire the long history of Conservation Chris Marx and Kim Adank. Kit McGurn Northwest's work and the fierce dedication to keeping our favorite places and animals wild." Both Chris and Kim say they can't wait to do their part keeping the Northwest wild. With a winning team, we're looking forward to meeting the exciting challenges that lie ahead. —Erin Moore
